65 BRUSHES
The Project
This study is part of an ongoing series of studio-based performances. Each iteration explores the interaction between movement, tool, and gesture, and how these can be observed in real time.
Using rice paper and ink as main materials, each brush is used only once to create a single mark.
The process unfolds live, building a growing archive of gestures.
The Tools
Tree branches, dried rushes, and pine needles are the main materials to build this series of 65 brushes.
A combination of wool, fabric, and jute add softness and flexibility to the pieces. Each tool has its own structure and reacts differently to movement and surface.
Constructed Identity
This series consists of 9 collages from magazines. It explores the instability of the human body as a carrier of meaning.
By merging fragments from separate printed sources, identity becomes constructed, edited, and unstable — echoing the way media shapes perception.
Each piece combines a few elements: faces, body fragments, and geometric shapes. The composition is guided by circles, lines, and angles, resulting in a balance between sharp and soft edges.
Editorial Projects
Commissioned by CURT Magazin, these works merge writing and image. In multiple cases, both the article and the visual material were developed by me.
Topics demanded their own formal language. Content determined medium, technique, and composition, positioning illustration as argument rather than ornament.
